Abel Tasman Yoga

Yoga to me is like a tramping trip in
The Abel Tasman National Park

I start walking and my legs protest. The backpack is uncomfortable and its weight unfamiliar.

I walk on, just to get around the next corner. The view is beautiful and I am intrigued to go to the next bend along the track to get a slightly different perspective.

The outlook gets better and better and I only notice my aching legs occasionally.

I feel more connected with myself and become part of the surroundings.

When I encounter swollen rivers or hailstorms, I am not discouraged, but rest and shelter for a while. The way is exciting enough to keep me going. I know the view around every corner is rewarding.

Whether you want to start on the yoga path or wish to continue on your yoga journey while in Marahau, I welcome you to join our sessions.

The Abel Tasman National Park has lots to offer, so while you're here enjoy a stroll into the park, take a cruise or a water taxi, go marine mammal watching, hire a kayak or just enjoy the beach.

There is also a marine reserve in the Abel Tasman, so if you're a diver or snorkler you might enjoy a visit there.

Hire (or borrow) a bicycle and ride some of the Great Taste Cycle Trail or walk some of the Abel Tasman's Coastal Track, one of New Zealand's Great Walks.

While you're here, take a trip through Kaiteri and Motueka and enjoy a wine tasting or visit one of the many artisans in the Tasman or Nelson Regions.

And if you're looking for accommodation, try one of our links below - you'll be spoilt for choice from backpackers to lodges, motels to hotels.
